    We are looking for people that can work in Scarborough in the Markham Rd and Passmore Ave area.

     You will be working in a manufacturing environment where displays are assembled, packaged, and shipped for retail stores.

     • Day shift - 6:30am - 4:00pm

     Position Responsibilities

    • Operate the digital printing machine, adjust settings for specifications

    • Setting up the guillotine machine for production, adjusting settings for cutting specifications.

    • Feeding materials like paper into the guillotine, ensuring precise alignment for accurate cuts.

    • Monitoring the cutting process to ensure safety and accuracy, making adjustments as needed.

    • Performing routine maintenance on the machine to ensure proper function.

    • Following safety protocols to prevent accidents, given the sharp blade and high pressure of the machine.

    • Documenting production outputs and any machine malfunctions or repairs needed.

     Qualifications and Skills You Need to Succeed

    • Experience in design and engineering of semi-permanent corrugate displays

    • Postsecondary education in Packaging Design, Industrial Design, Engineering, Graphic Design, Graphic Communication Management, or equivalent experience

    • Experience using AutoCAD and CIMEX is an asset

    • Experience using a cutting table for corrugate and plastic (Kongsberg)

    • Advanced experience using Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)

    • Advanced knowledge of corrugate substrates and manufacturing processes

    • Experience working with Graphic Designers with an expert understanding and knowledge of corrugate printing processes

    • A strong team player, but also able to work independently

    • Ability to manage and organize multiple competing priorities

    • Strong attention to detail

    • Strong organizational and time management skills

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills• Steel-toed safety shoes must be worn at all times

    • Ability to stand for hours on end

    • Woodworking from milling

    • Operating machines and tools and working on and assembly of displays

    • Cutting material to required size, trimming parts to ensure they fit

    • Sanding surfaces and applying veneers, stains, and polishes to finish product

    • All other duties as assigned

    Qualifications and Skills You Need to Succeed

    • Experience with assembly, machines, and tools

    • Listen to supervisor to properly execute project requirements based on instructions

    • Attention to detail

    • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines; over and above regular business hours as required

  • Role Overview

    We are looking for people that can work in North York in the Victoria Park and Lawrence Ave area.

    You will be working in a manufacturing environment where fibreglass products are made. You will be responsible for fabricating wastewater products, including launders and troughs, using advanced composite materials and techniques. This role involves working with fiberglass, resins, and molds to produce durable, high-quality components.

    • Day shift - 6:30am - 2:30pm

    • Afternoon shift - 2:30pm - 10:30pm

    This is a temp to perm placement, meaning that the right workers will be hired after 4.5 months.

    Position Responsibilities

    Fabrication and Assembly:

    • Prepare molds for composite fabrication, including cleaning, applying release agents, and verifying dimensions.

    • Lay up fiberglass reinforcements and apply resins using hand lay-up, vacuum-assisted resin transfer molding (VARTM), or other composite techniques.

    • Assemble launders, troughs, and other wastewater products to meet specifications and ensure functionality.

    Quality Assurance:

    • Inspect fabricated products to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.

    • Identify and address defects such as air pockets, resin-rich areas, or fiber misalignments.

    • Document production processes and quality assurance results.

    Material Handling:

    • Cut, shape, and assemble fiberglass materials to fit product requirements.

    • Mix and handle resins, catalysts, and other composite materials in accordance with safety guidelines.

    Maintenance and Tooling:

    • Maintain fabrication tools and equipment to ensure consistent performance.

    • Repair and modify molds or fabricated products as needed.

    Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere to safety protocols, including the proper handling of hazardous materials.

    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to minimize risks and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

    Qualifications and Skills You Need to Succeed

    • Proven experience as a composite fabricator or in a similar role, preferably in wastewater systems or related industries.

    • Hands-on experience with fiberglass lay-up and resin infusion techniques.

    • Familiarity with the design and functionality of launders, troughs, or similar structures.

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

    • Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.

    • Physical ability to lift and handle heavy materials as required.

  • Role Overview

    We are looking for a person that can work in Scarborough in the Middlefield Rd and McNicoll Ave area.

    You will be working in a manufacturing environment where plastic products are made. You will be maintaining and repairing the machinery in the workplace.

    Position Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the projects realization within the capital budget. • Maintenance and repair of facility; this includes building, infrastructure and all equipment.

    • Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and all mechanical equipment.
    • The responsibility includes liaising with departments and to participate and help in the improvement of the maintenance of equipment, continuous improvement projects.

    • Troubleshoot and repair any mechanical and electrical controls, develop preventative maintenance programs for new and existing equipment.

    • Maintain good human relation principals, communication skills and leadership quality with superiors, peers and subordinates.

     Qualifications and Skills You Need to Succeed

    • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.

    • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

    • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.

    • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.

    • Perform mechanic duties/ projects, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

    • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

    • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.

    • Diagnose mechanical problems, using visual and auditory senses, test systems and technical publications.

    • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

    • Ensures Operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.

    ·• Responsible for a competent and efficient repair and upkeep of plant equipment, facilities which includes assisting plant personnel.

    • Manage time and materials to optimize equipment effectiveness and, repair equipment in a timely manner.
    • Facilitate, coach, train and guide the manufacturing work group (Supervisors, Lead Hands, and Operators) to ensure that they have the ability to properly maintain production equipment.
    • Helps manage major projects and provide project team leadership to ensure projects meet their stated objectives in a professional manner, consistent with project parameters of costs, time and scope.
    • Responsible to log time worked per work station/equipment to assist in costing. 

    • Responsible to ensure proper inventory of replacement and consumable parts. 

    • Planning and execution of projects, on repairs and maintenance of infrastructure and new equipment as well as modification of existing ones.
    • Enforces company policies with regard to Health & Safety, Purchasing, Regulatory compliance, update maintenance log, etc.
    • Provides support to manufacturing operations with review of technical and business issues
    • Maintain liaison with groups such as department supervisors, Management, and plant personnel by participating in various Expert Teams
    • Develop, monitor and administer departmental budget for Engineering and Maintenance
    • Performs other duties as required by the Management Team.

    • Develop aggressive but realistic time-tables for tasks, projects and programs

    • Proactively solicit feedback from internal customers.

    • Identify root cause(s) for metric and performance shortfall(s)

    • Develop corrective action(s) to address root causes
